International Skilled Worker (ISW) Category

For skilled workers outside Canada who want to live and work in Saskatchewan.

a. Employment Offer Stream

Foreign skilled workers who have a full-time job offer from a Saskatchewan employer in an eligible occupation.

Job offer must be approved via a Job Approval Form (JAF).
Occupation must be in NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 or a designated trade.
Language ability: CLB 4 or higher.
At least 1 year of work experience in the past 10 years in the same field as the job offer.
Relevant post-secondary education (minimum 1 year).
Must score 60 out of 110 points on the SINP point assessment grid.

b. Occupations In-Demand Stream : Skilled workers who do not have a job offer, but have work experience in Saskatchewan’s in-demand occupations.

Occupation must be on SINP’s In-Demand Occupation List.
At least 1 year of relevant work experience in the past 10 years.
Post-secondary education related to the occupation.
Must score at least 60 points on the SINP assessment grid.
Must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI).

c. Express Entry Stream : Candidates with an active Express Entry profile who want to immigrate to Saskatchewan.

Valid Express Entry profile and Job Seeker Code.
CLB 7 or higher (for Express Entry eligibility).
At least 1 year of work experience in the past 10 years in a NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 occupation.
Post-secondary education.
Occupation must be in-demand in Saskatchewan.
Must score 60 points or higher on the SINP point grid.
Submit an EOI to SINP.

2. Saskatchewan Experience Category

Who it’s for: For foreign nationals already living and working in Saskatchewan on a valid work permit.

a. Skilled Worker With Existing Work Permit : Foreign nationals working in Saskatchewan on a valid work permit who have a permanent job offer.

Currently working in Saskatchewan in an eligible occupation.
Valid work permit (not open or post-grad unless stated).
Have worked for the same employer for 6 months.
Full-time, permanent job offer in a skilled position (NOC TEER 0–3).
CLB 4 or higher.

b. Semi-Skilled Agriculture Worker : Workers already in Saskatchewan in general farm labor roles.

Employed for at least 6 months with a valid work permit.
Job offer in NOC 85100 or 85101 (e.g., general farm workers).
Employer must have approved JAF.
CLB 4 or higher.
2 years recent work/education; settlement funds; intent to stay
Note: truck drivers (NOC 73300) now require 12 months experience

c. Health Professionals : Internationally trained doctors, nurses, or health professionals working in Saskatchewan.

Valid work permit.
Worked for 6+ months in the same job.
Have a permanent job offer from the same health authority.
Job must be in a regulated healthcare occupation.
Additional regulatory licensing may apply.
CLB 4+ in language benchmarks.

d. Hospitality Sector Project : Food and beverage workers in Saskatchewan under specific NOC codes.

Working in food counter, kitchen helper, or housekeeping roles (NOC 65201, 65202, 65310).
Must be working under an approved employer through SINP’s project.
Worked at least 6 months.
Valid work permit.
CLB 4+ in language benchmarks.

e. Long-Haul Truck Driver Project :Truck drivers employed by Saskatchewan trucking firms.

Employed for 6+ months by an approved trucking company in Saskatchewan.
Valid Class 1A driver’s license.
Valid work permit.
Job offer must be full-time and permanent.
CLB 4+ in language benchmarks.

f. Student Stream : International students who have graduated from a Canadian institution and are working in Saskatchewan.

Graduated from a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada (preferably in SK).
Valid Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).
Must have worked for at least 6 months in Saskatchewan.
Have a full-time, permanent job offer.
CLB 4+ in language benchmarks.

Entrepreneur and Farm Category — ❌ Currently Closed (as of March 27, 2025)

After submitting your SINP application, officials will review your documents to ensure completeness and eligibility.
If your application meets the criteria, you will receive a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan.
Once nominated, you must apply for permanent residence through IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada).
IRCC will conduct medical examinations and background/security checks for you and your accompanying family members.
If approved by IRCC, you will receive a Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) and instructions for landing in Canada.
After landing in Canada, you officially become a permanent resident and can settle in Saskatchewan.
Upon arrival, you can apply for a Saskatchewan Health Card, a Social Insurance Number (SIN), and begin working, studying, or doing business.
